  6. What does John mean when he says, "you have no need that anyone should teach you?" (v. 27)

How should it change us?

  2. What does John say about those who claim to walk in the light but hate their brother? (v. 9)
    1. Why are the two opposed?
  3. What does it look like to walk in darkness to John?
    1. What are consequences of being in the darkness? (v. 11)
  4. What are the different ways John states for the reason of his writing? (v. 12–17)
