OBSERVATION
What does it say?

  1. Read Micah chapters 6-7
  2. Do you notice any repeated words or ideas in these chapters?
  3. What are the charges God brings against his people ?
  4. What is good in Lord's sight and what does God require of his people ? 
  5. What do we learn about God from these chapters ?

INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?

  1. How can God be judge and justifier ?
  2. Does the curses mentioned in 6:14-15 remind you of any passage from first five books of the Old testament.(Read Deut.28) Why do you think Micah is using similar language here ?
  3. Why does God forgive his people's sin ? What do you learn about yourself and about God?

APPLICATION
How should it change us?

  1. How should these chapters help us see God's favour towards his people even in the midst of their sin?
  2. How are you encouraged by reading these verses ?(7:18-20)
  3. Pray in light of this passage and about any applications you have made
  4. Sing My Heart is Filled with Thankfulness to God and to one another.

Titus 2:11-15 - 1st May 2022

OBSERVATION
What does it say?

  1. Read Titus 2:11-15
  2. Do you notice any repeated words?
  3. Are there any words that you need to define? ("denounce" or "zealous")
  4. Do you see any words or topics that Paul has talked about in previous sections?
  5. What words are used to describe God?

INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?

  1. What does Paul mean by training in verse 12?
    1. Where do we get training? (v. 11)
    2. Read 1 Timothy 4:8 and 2 Timothy 3:16 (other letters written by Paul). What do they say is the purpose of training?
  2. Paul repeats the word "people" in verse 11 and verse 14.
    1. Who are these "people"?
    2. Do both verses have the same "people" in mind?
    3. Read Exodus 19:3-6. How does it help us to understand the "people" that Paul might be talking about?
  3. Why did Jesus give himself up? (v. 14)
    1. How should we live while we are waiting for his return?
  4. What do you think that Paul means by "these things" in verse 15?

APPLICATION
How should it change us?

  1. Do you feel trained enough to "renounce ungodliness" & to "live self-controlled"?
    1. How could you get training? (2 Timothy 3:16)
    2. Who could you get training from?
  2. How does living in the hope of Christ's return affect how you live today?
    1. What's one thing you can do this week to remind yourself of the hope of Christ's return?
  3. Pray in light of this passage and about any applications you have made.
  4. Sing Where Shall I Be? to God and to one another.
