  6. What aspects (God, Man, Christ, Response) of the gospel are touched on in this passage?
  7. How does the gospel re-orient us to resist boastful planning, selfish-indulgence and defrauding others?

APPLICATION
How should it change us?

  1. How should we plan and talk about the future?
    1. How are you tempted to be arrogant and boastful about your future?
    2. How does this view of God correct that? 
  2. Are you tempted to lay up treasures for yourself? How might this passage help you fight that? How do these truths warn you?
  3. Have you been defrauded? How do the truths of this passage comfort you?

  2. Why did God show Paul a vision?
    1. What is emphasized?
    2. What reasons does God give?
  3. How do the Jews understand Paul's ministry (v.13)?
  4. How does Gallio understand the disagreement (vv. 14–15)?
  5. What do you think it means for Paul to "strengthen all the disciples" (v.23)?
  6. How does the gospel/the Lord propel Paul to face such challenges in sharing the message the Jesus is the Christ?

APPLICATION
How should it change us?

  1. Who are/could you partner with in proclaiming Jesus as the Christ to those who are God's in this city?
  2. How are you fearful of being bold in speaking about the gospel with others? What truths in this passage encourage you to "go on speaking"?
  3. How can we be involved in strengthening other disciples in our church?
