What does it say?

INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?
- What does a life reflecting God’s holiness look like? ( Ref: Leviticus 19:2)
- We have already received the grace of forgiveness of sins through Christ. But what is the grace that will be brought to us at the revelation of Jesus Christ? (1 Peter 1:13)
- What does it mean to be holy? (1 Peter 1:15-16)
- What does it mean to be ransomed by the precious blood of Christ? Why is the blood of Christ precious? (1 Peter 1:18-19)
- 1 Peter 1:17 commands believers to conduct our lives with fear throughout the time of our exile. How does this relate to the Israelites escaping from Egypt after Passover night? What are the parallels between their experience and yours?
- What does it mean for Christ to be foreknown before the foundations of the world? (1 Peter 1:20)

What will I do?
- List the practical applications mentioned in 1 Peter 1:13-17 for believers? What are the things that distract you from following these commands?
- In what way should ‘hope’ make an impact on our current Christian experience? How does this passage encourage us in our Christian walk?
- Consider how much God paid for our sins. How should that affect the way we live? (1 Peter 1:17-21)
- The Christian life is lived out in the hope that one day we will meet Christ again. How should this affect our gratitude and devotion to Christ?
