COVENANT HOPE CHURCH
| 22 NOVEMBER 2023
OBSERVATION
What does it say?
Read John 21:1-14
Do you notice any repeated words or ideas?
Where is the Sea of Tiberias?
What time of day were the disciples fishing?
What characters are present?
How do the disciples recognize Jesus?
INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?
This is Jesus' third resurrection appearance to the disciples.
What do you make of the fact that his final resurrection appearance in the book of John is a breakfast meeting with his disciples?
Along with this appearance, think of the other two appearances by Jesus to his disicples (John 20:19-23, John 20:24-29).
What is unique about each appearance?
What do you think John wants his audience to see with each resurrection appearance?
APPLICATION

Sing
Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed
