  2. In verses 18 and 19, what do you think it means to "Let tears stream down" and "pour out your heart"?

    2. What does the author then ask from God in verse 20?
      1. Why would the author ask for God to "see? Doesn't God see everything?

    1. Think about the last time you got angry. What were you angry about?
    2. Did your anger "produce the righteousness of God" (James 1:20)?
  2. God's affliction on Israel show's how seriously he thinks about sin. Do you think you have a good understanding of God's holiness? Why or why not ?
    1. Read Luke 13: 1-5. What does God say about our sin, even if we don't experience affliction now?
    2. What is one way you could grow in lamenting, especially lamenting over your own sin?
  3. Pray in light of this passage and about any applications you have made
  4. Sing In Christ Alone to God and to one another.
