"Gleaning", or picking up leftover grain, is discussed in the law of Moses. Read Leviticus 19:9-10, Leviticus 23:22, and Deuteronomy 24:19.
1. Who was allowed to do this?
2. How does this fit with what Ruth did at Naomi's instruction?
What do you think it means that Ruth took refuge under the wings of the Lord? (verse 12)
1. A "wing" is the same as the corner of a garment.
2. Read Ezekiel 16:8. How does this compare to Ruth making the LORD her God?
