- What do you notice in the text about timings and locations?

INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?
- What is Passover? (Read Exodus 12 to learn more)
- Why is it so important for Jews to remember?
- Why do you think the Jews here are so concerned with being defiled?
- Why do you think that the John is highlighting that it's the time of the passover? (John 18:28,39)
- In the Old Testmant, there were times where Israel was commanded to put people to death (e.g. Leviticus 20:10). Why, then, do you think the Jews say in verse 31 "it's not lawful for us to put someone to death"?

- Why do you think the Jews accused Jesus of calling himself the "King of the Jews"?
- Why would this be significant to a Roman governor?

- Is there a "Barabbas" in your life? Someone who seems far away from the Lord?
- What is one step you can take to help them understand that they can be made right with God and be free from their sins?
- Pray in light of this passage and about any applications you have made
- Sing a song from the Hymn Book to God and to one another.
