INTERPRETATION

What does it mean?

  1. What is Passover? (Read Exodus 12 to learn more)
    1. Why is it so important for Jews to remember?
    2. Why do you think the Jews here are so concerned with being defiled?
    3. Why do you think that the John is highlighting that it's the time of the passover? (John 18:28,39)
  2. In the Old Testmant, there were times where Israel was commanded to put people to death (e.g. Leviticus 20:10). Why, then, do you think the Jews say in verse 31 "it's not lawful for us to put someone to death"?
