- How is God mentioned and described in this passage?

- What is the result of these commands?
- What are some of the "blessings" mentioned throughout Proverbs 3:1-20?
INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?
- What do you think it means to "bind steadfast love and faithfulness around your neck" and "write them on the tablet of your heart"? (verse 3)
- Why do you think Solomon is so concerned with the heart? (v.1, 3, 5)
- If you had to summarize the commands in verses 1-12 into one phrase, what would you say? What is Solomon commanding his son to do?
- What is the promise to the original audience in verses 9-10?
- How do you think this applies to Christians today? If we give to the Lord, does he promise to give us material wealth in return?
- Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. What does this tell us about Christian giving?
- Read Matthew 6:19-24. How does this help us to think about our treasures and blessings?
- How does Jesus follow the commands here?
- Read Luke 2:52. What do you think it means that Jesus grew in wisdom?
- What does it mean to find favor and success in the sight of man?

- Think about the commands in verses 1-12. Do these commands describe your life? (let your heart keep my commandments, trust in the LORD, be not wise in your own eyes, etc.)
- Which command stands out as one that you could grow in?
- How do you think that will that affect your relationship with God?
- How can you grow in that particular area this week?
- How has the gospel changed what you find valuable? How has it changed what you treasure?
- Why do you think the author includes verses 19-20?
- How does remembering the Lord's wisdom in creating and sustaining the universe affect your pursuit of wisdom?
- Pray in light of this passage and about any applications you have made
- Sing Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow to God and to one another.
