- What repeated words do you see?
- Do you notice any contrasts or similarities in this psalm?
- What situation was David in, and how is he responding?
- What instructions did David give and what rewards come with them?
INTERPRETATION
What does it mean?
- What does it mean to seek the Lord? (v. 4)
- How is David able to praise God in times of trouble (running away from his enemies)?
- How did God deliver Jesus when trouble arose? (did he?)
- How can Christ save us from death?
APPLICATION
How should it change us?
- What/who do we fear more than God?
- What would it look like to fear God more than these other fears?
- What can we do to cultivate a bigger view of God in our lives?
- Do you ever find it difficult to praise God in times of trouble?
- What would it look like to make Him our refuge in those times?
- How can we encourage others in the church to praise God together?
- Pray in light of this passage and any applications you've made.
