What does it mean?
- What are the "things" Jesus has said (that he did not say from the beginning)?
- Where is Jesus going? (John 14:12, 28)
- Why do you think that the disciples are filled with sorrow by Jesus leaving?
- Have you ever wished that Jesus was here with us so that we could talk to him and ask him questions?
- Why do you think Jesus say it is better for the disciples to have the Spirit with them rather than to have Jesus physically with them?
- How can you respond to someone who said they wished that they were around when Jesus walked the earth?
- In this passage, there are at least 4 things that Jesus says the Spirit will do: convict, guide, speak/declare, and glorify.

APPLICATION
How should it change us?
- The Spirit is called the "Spirit of truth". How can you pray more for the Spirit of God to lead you into the truth of His word?
- The Spirit has been sent to "convict the world".
- Do you see the world around you convicted of guilt?
- How can you pray and live in such a way so that the Spirit works to convince your friends and neighbors of their need of Christ?
- Pray in light of this passage and about any applications you have made
- Sing Holy Spirit to God and to one another.
